How to know the owner of a property by requesting a simple note. Is it free?
A simple note is an informative document that provides information “about the current entries relating to the property that is the object of the demonstration, which includes, at least, its identification with indication of the Unique Registry Code (CRU), the identity of the owner or owners of rights registered on it and the extension, nature and limitations of these.”
Information may be requested according to the following search criteria:
- Name of the registered owner of the property or right.
- Corporate name of the entity that owns the property or right.
- Unique Registry Code of the property (CRU).
- Registration property number .
- Cadastral plot number in the cases of properties coordinated with the Cadastre or identified in the cadastral cartography.
- National Identity Document (DNI); Tax Identification Number (NIF); Foreign Identification Number (NIE), passport.
- Address (Street, square, etc.).
It may also be requested through a geolocation system through the geoportal of the College of Registrars . To do this, it will be necessary to provide some of the following information: the Unique Registry Code (CRU); the owner of the property (name or company name and/or NIF); or registration data (province, municipality, registration and property number).
The price of requesting this simple note will be 9.02 euros and can be processed in person, by going to the Property Registry to which the property belongs, or electronically, at this link from the College of Registrars .
Know the name of the owner of a home
Once you have accessed the online portal of the Property Registry and then clicked on the “request Simple Note” option , you must enter the cadastral reference or the address of the property. Next, choose the option ” request the note as an individual ” and enter your own data as applicant.
The next step will be to indicate the payment method , accept the terms and conditions and confirm payment with your card.
Finally, you will receive a confirmation email. The final simple note must be reflected in the same email within a period of between 48 and 72 hours .
